#WorldHealthDay

The Theme of 2022 World Health Day is “Our Planet Our Health “

Health is our most basic human right and one of the most important indicators of sustainable development. On this World Health Day, lets us all pledge to make our planet a healthier place for our coming generations.
Awareness of Global diseases can help affect the overall health of society.
As Anaemia is a serious global public health problem that particularly affects young children and pregnant women. WHO estimates that 42% of children less than 5 years of age and 40% of pregnant women worldwide are anaemic.

Anaemia- Rajasthan- India

Anaemia in pre-school (6-59 months) children puts them at risk of having an adverse impact on their physical and mental growth. In anaemic children, the heart must work excessively as the oxygen supply to the blood remains affected due to it. Severe anaemia can lead to death.
In women aged 15-19 years, anaemia has gone up from 54.1% to 59.1%. The rising prevalence of anaemia in adolescents and young women is a major cause of concern as it increases the risks of complications in pregnancies and enhances the chances of birth of anaemic babies. Due to this IMR (infant mortality rate) and MMR (maternity mortality rate) are very high in India.

This can be minimised with proper education & awareness programs for women and children which can bring down the prevalence of anaemia.
The prevalence has increased from 58.6% to 67.1%, a massive jump of 8.5%. Despite a lot of programmes launched by the Centre and state governments for improving nutritional levels in children, the prevalence of anaemia has gone up drastically among preschool children.

Noon Hospital & Research Centre encourage people of this area and particularly people of rural Rajasthan to improve the quality of nutrition among girls, women, mother, and child to prevent related diseases so maternal mortality and infant mortality.

Also considering the global environment and health issues, it is important that we keep our soil, water, air, and environment free from hazards and pollution caused by humans constantly and round the clock.

Let’s make our Rajasthan our health, it is contributing to global health.

CARING FOR THOSE WHO ARE CARING THE SOCIETY , BASIC LIFE SUPPORT AND FIRST AID TRAINING, AND PREVENTIVE HEALTH CHECKUPS FOR ASHA WORKER

Basic Life Support (BLS) is the primary medical aid provided to a person in an emergency medical situation. This procedure can prove to be very helpful when it comes to saving the life of an individual. It is important to understand that the objective of BLS is not to ‘treat’ the person but to buy some valuable time until the emergency medical aid arrives.

Today Noon Hospital offered the Basic life Support program to ASHA workers to help the rural population during the immediate hour of any medical emergencies. It is important because ASHA are health activists in the communities, who are creating awareness on health and its social determinants and mobilize the community towards local health planning and increased utilization and accountability of the existing public health services. They are promoters of good health practices in society.

Zeen-Zar foundation charitable Trust and Noon Hospital ensured two health checkups in next 12 months for ASHA workers actively helping the society. Alongside above training, nutritious food provided to malnutrition babies and health awareness given by our Gynaecologist, Dr. Rakhee Soni and Paediatrician, Dr. Deepak Shekhawat.
